    Dr. Kaplowitz's research interests include drug toxicity, signal transduction, oxidative stress, glutathione metabolism, pathogenesis of alcoholic liver disease, endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress, and mitochondrial biogenesis.

    Dr. Kaplowitz earned his medical degree from New York University School of Medicine. He then went on to complete a Gastroenterology Fellowship at Cornell University Medical College.
