Dr. Ji joined the faculty of Keck School of Medicine of USC in 2000. His research interests include cellular organelle (e.g., ER, Golgi, mitochondria, or lysosomes) stress and liver disease, alcohol-induced hyperhomocysteinemia, and hepatotoxicity of anti-HIV/SARS-CoV-2 drugs and substance use disorders (SUD). Dr. Ji's research has been supported by NIH/NSF. He has published numerous research papers in peer-reviewed journals.
Prior to the USC faculty, he earned his M.S. in Chemistry from Shanghai Jiao Tong Univ., and obtained his PhD in Biochemistry and completed postdoctoral fellowships in Medicine/Pathology at Univ. of California and Keck School of Medicine of USC, respectively.

Altmetrics Details PMC Citations indicate the number of times the publication was cited by articles in PubMed Central, and the Altmetric score represents citations in news articles and social media. (Note that publications are often cited in additional ways that are not shown here.) Fields are based on how the National Library of Medicine (NLM) classifies the publication's journal and might not represent the specific topic of the publication. Translation tags are based on the publication type and the MeSH terms NLM assigns to the publication.
