Dr. Ji joined the faculty of Keck School of Medicine of USC in 2000. His research interests include cellular organelle (e.g. ER, Golgi, mitochondria, and lysosomes) stress and liver disease, hepatotoxicity of antivirals and alcohol, hyperhomocysteinemia, and nanotechnology in drug/alcohol detoxification. Dr. Ji's research has been supported by NIH and NSF, and highlighted by Nature and Science Translational Medicine.
Prior to USC, Dr. Ji obtained his M.S. and joined the Faculty of SJTU (Shanghai) in 1986. He earned his PhD from UK (Lexington) and completed postdoctoral fellowships at UC (Riverside) and USC (Los Angeles).
