    A Los Angeles native, Dr. Arkfeld, first joined the Keck School of Medicine faculty in 1994 after completing a fellowship at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in West LA. Prior to his current administrative position as Director of Rheumatology CME Educational courses, Dr. Arkfeld was Chief of Rheumatology Clinic at LAC+USC Medical Center.

    As a cliniccal professor, Dr. Arkfeld's major areas of research interests include rheumatoid arthritis, fibromyalgia, and Sjogren's Syndrome. In addition to being a renowned lecturer, having spoken all across the globe, Dr. Arkfeld is also a former little league baseball coach and doctor for the USC Women’s Basketball Team.
