Janet S. Choi, MD, MPH, is a board-certified otolaryngology-head and neck surgeon and a fellowship-trained otologist/neurotologist at Keck Medicine of USC, who specializes in treating ear-related disorders. Her clinical interests include chronic ear disease, cholesteatoma, cochlear implantation, perforated tympanic membrane, otosclerosis, vestibular disorders and lateral skull base tumors, such as acoustic neuromas/vestibular schwannomas and meningiomas.

Dr. Choi’s research interests center on addressing stigma associated with hearing loss and hearing device use and improving the utilization of hearing healthcare. She has authored more than 50 publications in peer-reviewed journals and book chapters. She is regularly invited to present at national and international conferences. Her research projects include population-based studies examining the impact of hearing loss and its treatment on health outcomes, as well as the development of Artificial Intelligence-driven solutions aimed at facilitating access to hearing care.

Dr. Choi graduated with Honors from University of California San Diego, and earned her medical degree from Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. She completed her residency in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at University of Southern California and her fellowship in otology, neurotology, and lateral skull base surgery at University of Minnesota.
