Overview
Intira Sriprasert, MD, PhD is an Assistant Professor of Research Obstetrics and Gynecology. She is an OB/GYN clinical faculty from Thailand who was trained on research fellowship in reproductive health, reproductive endocrinology and menopause at the Jones Institute of Reproductive Medicine and Reproductive Endocrinology Laboratory at the University of Southern California. She earned the PhD in Epidemiology at the University of Southern California with her dissertation exploring the mechanism underlying hormone therapy timing hypothesis and atherosclerosis. She has extensive experience in conducting, collaborating, grant applications and managing research and scholarly activities at national and international levels. Her work in women’s health research results in many publications and citations in peer review journals. She serves as an editorial member and reviewer for peer review journals related to reproductive health and menopause as well as co-authored for The Handbook of Contraception. Her research focuses include reproductive health, reproductive endocrinology particularly the association between sex steroid hormones with cardiovascular disease among menopausal women. With her background in clinical Obstetrics & Gynecology and research experience, she supports and facilitates scholarly activities within the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology as the Director of Research and Scholarship. She co-mentors residents and fellows with clinical faculty and provides guidance on formation of research question, development of study design and data collection tools, statistical analysis as well as results distribution through abstract presentation and manuscript publication.
