Overview Dr. Zhilei (Julie) Shen is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Radiation Oncology-Medical Physics at USC Norris Cancer Hospital and USC + Los Angeles County Medical Center. She joined USC in November 2019.
Dr. Zhilei (Julie) Shen graduated from Southeast University in Nanjing, China with a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Biomedical Engineering. She received her doctorate degree in Biomedical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University, and completed her residency in medical physics at Cleveland Clinic in 2016.
After completing her residency, Dr. Shen became a clinical assistant professor at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) specializing in medical physics. Dr. Shen has presented and published in multiple areas including biomaterials, biomechanics, ultrasound imaging, medical physics, and medical dosimetry. Her research interests include advanced treatment planning, deformable image registration, and image-guided radiation therapy.
