    Dr. Omid is a professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Keck School of Medicine of USC. He specializes in the management of all conditions of the shoulder and elbow. He has extensive experience in arthroscopic procedures and joint replacement of the shoulder and elbow. Dr. Omid was a team physician for USC Athletics and has a special interest in athletes with the treatment of injuries of the shoulder and elbow, secondary to overuse or other activities. Dr. Omid is associate program director for the orthopaedic residency program. He is actively involved in research and has authored numerous articles. His areas of interest include shoulder separations, fractures of the shoulder and elbow, rotator cuff tears, shoulder and elbow arthritis, and cartilage injuries. The recipient of the Herman Epstein Award for Most Outstanding Resident, Dr. Omid is also involved in numerous national organizations including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Arthroscopy Association of North America and the Western Orthopaedic Association. He is also a member of the prestigious American Society of Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons. He completed his orthopaedic residency training at KECK/LAC+USC. He completed his fellowship training in shoulder and elbow reconstruction at the world renowned Washington University/Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, where he also worked with the sports medicine service treating the area’s professional athletes including those from the St. Louis Rams and St. Louis Blues.
