Laurie Eisenberg, PhD is an audiologist who engages in clinical research on topics related to pediatric hearing loss, auditory perception, and prosthetic devices for children who are deaf or hard of hearing (cochlear implants, auditory brainstem implants, and hearing aids). Her primary research interest involves defining the auditory factors and their inter-relationships that underlie the development of spoken communication competence in children with hearing loss. Dr. Eisenberg has had numerous collaborations; most recently with scientists from Johns Hopkins University, San Diego State University, Indiana University, and Washington University. Her research is supported by the National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders (NIDCD) of the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

Altmetrics Details PMC Citations indicate the number of times the publication was cited by articles in PubMed Central, and the Altmetric score represents citations in news articles and social media. (Note that publications are often cited in additional ways that are not shown here.) Fields are based on how the National Library of Medicine (NLM) classifies the publication's journal and might not represent the specific topic of the publication. Translation tags are based on the publication type and the MeSH terms NLM assigns to the publication.
