Biography
Dr. Lieu received a Pharm.D. degree from the University of the Pacific (1984), then completed a Residency in Hospital Pharmacy at the Medical Center Hospital of Vermont (1985). From 1985-1988, she was the Nutritional Support Pharmacist at the Buffalo General Hospital and Clinical Assistant Professor at the State University of New York (SUNY) at Buffalo, School of Pharmacy.
A member of the faculty since 1988, Dr. Lieu teaches APPE rotations in Nutritional Support, coordinates and teaches the Parenteral Therapy Externship IPPE, and coordinates and teaches the Nutrition course. She teaches in the areas of parenteral and enteral nutrition, fluid and electrolyte therapy, intravenous admixtures, nutrition in health and disease, infertility, osteoporosis, and endometriosis. Dr. Lieu has been a Board Certified Nutrition Support Pharmacist since 1992, and practices as the Nutrition Support Pharmacist on the Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition Service at the Los Angeles County + USC Medical Center.
In May 2001, Dr. Lieu was an invited delegation member of the People to People Ambassador Programs and visited China (Beijing, Shanghai, Guiyang) to promote professional exchange regarding the practice of parenteral and enteral nutrition support.
