Joan Vartanian has extensive clinical experience working with physical disabilities populations and enhances the education-practice intersection of the Division's newly redesigned professional program's adult rehabilitation curriculum. For over two decades, Ms. Vartanian has delivered occupational therapy interventions in many practice settings, including acute care, rehabilitation, outpatient and long-term care, as well as having held clinical administrative leadership positions. She has previously served USC as Chief of Occupational Therapy at USC University Hospital (since renamed Keck Hospital of USC), as an intervener on the NIH-funded USC Well Elderly 2 and Pressure Ulcer Prevention Studies, and as Adjunct Faculty instructor for OT452, OT466 and OT468. She earned her B.A. in Occupational Therapy from College of Saint Catherine (since renamed St. Catherine University) in St. Paul, Minnesota.
