Dr. Silverman received his medical degree from the University of California, San Diego and completed his radiology training at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Specializing in cardiothoracic radiology, he also completed visiting fellowships at the University of California, San Francisco, Stanford University, University of California, Irvine, and University of California, Los Angeles.
He was the primary oncoradiologist at the Comprehensive Cancer Center at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and Director of MR Imaging and Body MR Imaging at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for many years before joining the Radiology department at the Keck School of Medicine, USC, in 2001.
Dr. Silverman has completed original research in the use of MR imaging, has received multiple imaging research grants, and is the author of numerous imaging articles. He has also lectured extensively at national conferences.
