Jane Kim, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant at Keck Medicine of USC, who focuses on care for chronic conditions and preventive measures for overall health and well-being. Through clear communication, active listening and personalized medical strategies, she aims to provide holistic health care — both physical and emotional — to all her patients and their families.
Kim has a wide range of research interests, including identifying mental health factors that affect teens and adults and developing early interventions for support, as well as understanding how lifestyle choices, such as healthier nutrition and physical activity, affect chronic conditions and general health. She is also studying barriers to health care access for underserved communities and actively creating strategies to expand access to care and treatment therapies.
Born and raised in Los Angeles by immigrant parents, Kim believes that every patient’s unique background should be respected and acknowledged. She is dedicated to providing culturally sensitive health care that is personalized and aligned with her patient’s values and beliefs.
As part of her commitment to providing medical care to underserved communities, she has served as part of the Keck School of Medicine of USC’s Street Medicine Team, delivering compassionate care to people experiencing homelessness. Kim has also been a medical volunteer in outreach clinics in Mexico.
Outside of work, Kim is passionate about traveling, hiking and finding new specialty coffee shops. As a native Angeleno, who understands the rich tapestry of diversity that defines this vibrant city, she speaks conversational Spanish and is fluent in Korean.
