    Born in Chile and raised in the United States, Dr. Gabriel Devlin is a pediatric emergency medicine physician at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) and Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at the Keck School of Medicine of USC. He completed his pediatric residency at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) and his fellowship in pediatric emergency medicine at CHLA. Before joining CHLA, he served as an attending physician at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital, the San Francisco General Hospital, and Santa Clara Valley Medical Center.

    Dr. Devlin’s scholarly work centers on improving the identification and treatment of substance use among children and adolescents in emergency settings. As a fellow, he led the implementation of the CHLA emergency department’s opioid use disorder screening and treatment programs and naloxone distribution program. His work has been recognized nationally through presentations at the Pediatric Academic Societies meeting and various publications. Dr. Devlin has received multiple teaching honors, including the UCSF Academy of Medical Educators’ Excellence in Teaching Award and Stanford’s Honor Roll for Clinical Teaching. He teaches across the continuum of medical education, from the bedside to lectures, simulations, and procedural workshops at the Keck School of Medicine of USC. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time in nature and hiked 2200 miles of the Pacific Crest Trail in 2025.
