Elizabeth B Burgener, MD is a pediatric pulmonologist and physician scientist. After receiving her B.A. at Stanford University, she completed medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 2011. She then returned to Stanford for residency in Pediatrics followed by a year as a Pediatric Chief Resident prior to fellowship in pediatric pulmonary medicine during which she also completed post-doctoral training in microbiology and immunology in the Bollyky Lab. She spent another 5 years at Stanford developing her research program before she moved to Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles and Keck School of Medicine at USC in summer of 2023. She is currently an Assistant Professor in the division of Pediatric Pulmonology & Sleep Medicine in the department of Pediatrics where she treats patients with pulmonary disease as well as conducting translational research focused on infection and bacteriophage in the cystic fibrosis airways.

Altmetrics Details PMC Citations indicate the number of times the publication was cited by articles in PubMed Central, and the Altmetric score represents citations in news articles and social media. (Note that publications are often cited in additional ways that are not shown here.) Fields are based on how the National Library of Medicine (NLM) classifies the publication's journal and might not represent the specific topic of the publication. Translation tags are based on the publication type and the MeSH terms NLM assigns to the publication. Some publications (especially newer ones and publications not in PubMed) might not yet be assigned Field or Translation tags.) Click a Field or Translation tag to filter the publications.
