Overview

Dr. Muñoz is a bilingual licensed psychologist who holds an appointment as Associate Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at the USC Keck School of Medicine. After receiving a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology and a MPH in Maternal and Child Health, she completed an internship and pediatric psychology fellowship at CHLA. Currently, she serves as a pediatric psychologist at the CHLA Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism and at the CHLA Behavioral Health Institute. Muñoz also conducts research targeting behavioral health issues associated with pediatric insulin-treated diabetes. Muñoz co-developed a psychosocial program for teens with insulin-treated diabetes, siblings, and caregivers, Teen Power®. She is also actively involved with the American Diabetes Association on a national and local level.
