Trudy Kao, FNP-BC, is a Clinical Instructor of Family Medicine and joined the Keck School of Medicine in 2021. Trudy received her family health training from the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing in Philadelphia in 2013. She is certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and belongs to the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).

Trudy has worked in college health since 2017, including time at the University of Pennsylvania as well as at Otis College of Art & Design in Los Angeles. She has a passion for community health and social justice.

Her interests include LGBTQ health, gender-affirming care, preventative care, and sexual and reproductive health. Trudy believes in shared decision-making, and championing her patients to become the best possible health advocates for themselves while they are students at USC and beyond.
