Claire Norman, MSJ is a Clinical Instructor of Family Medicine at the Keck School of Medicine of USC, where she teaches and develops the behavioral science curriculum for physician assistant students. Her work focuses on preparing future clinicians through instruction in patient communication, behavioral health, professionalism, advocacy, and the social determinants of health.

Drawing on a background in journalism and strategic communications, Ms. Norman brings expertise in translating complex medical and public health concepts into engaging educational experiences. She has developed innovative curricula that incorporate documentary filmmaking, community-based learning, educational technology, and storytelling to strengthen clinical reasoning, cultural humility, and patient-centered care.

In addition to teaching, Ms. Norman mentors physician assistant students in scholarship, advocacy, leadership, and professional identity formation. She regularly presents at national conferences on physician assistant education, educational innovation, and the role of communication in healthcare.

Her professional interests include medical education, behavioral science, health communication, faculty development, educational technology, community engagement, and advocacy.
