Overview
C. Chloe Powell, DMSc, MPAS, PA-C, Instructor of Clinical Family Medicine, joined the Primary Care Physician Assistant Program as a Clinical Instructor of Family Medicine in 2015. She brings with her exemplary technical skills and a wide breadth of experience based on 20 plus years of clinical practice.
A proud graduate of the 1994 Primary Care Program at USC, Dr. Powell completed her Masters of Physician Assistant Studies at the University of Nebraska in 2003, and earned her Doctor of Medical Science degree in 2020 from the University of Lynchburg. She has several peer-reviewed publications written for medical journals, PA education journals and a procedural skills textbook. Most recently, Dr. Powell was the principal investigator for a $3.25 million HRSA grant awarded to USC which will provide 100 scholarships for disadvantaged PA students.
As a member of the clinical team, Dr. Powell provides pre-clinical training in technical skills and assists students with their clinical rotations. She is passionate about sharing her love for medicine with the next generation of advanced health care providers.
