    Dr. Haywood's areas of interest include cardiac arrhythmias- clinical mechanisms and management, cardiovascular manifestations of sickle cell anemia, noninvasive procedures for cardiovascular diagnosis, high blood pressure- clinical management among others.

    Dr. Haywood earned his medical degree from Howard University. He then went on to complete two fellowships one in Cardiology at White Memorial Hospital, and another as a traveling fellow with the American College of Physicians.
