    Dr. McDonnell's research interests include colon cancer, cancer genetics, functional genomics and personalized cancer medicine. He is a member of American Society of Clinical Oncology and American Society of Hematology.

    Dr. McDonnell earned two Master's degrees, one in English Literature and the other in Philosophy. He then went on to successfully complete his medical degree and a PhD in Biophysics, followed by two fellowships in Physiology and Biophysics.
