    Karen Park is the Academic Coordinator of Fieldwork Education for Pediatrics. She earned a bachelor's degree in Human Development from the University of California, San Diego, and her master's degree in Occupational Therapy and clinical Doctorate of Occupational Therapy degree from the University of Southern California. Dr. Park has extensive experience in pediatric practice in early intervention, clinic, home and school settings, as well as in sensory integration and oral motor, feeding and swallowing intervention.

    For the first five years of her career, she gained clinical experience at a private pediatric clinic, Center for Developing Kids. There she managed the volunteer program for prospective occupational therapy students and was also the Coordinator of Occupational Therapy, where she mentored and provided training in pediatric interventions, assessments and evaluation for staff. She has also been the Lead OT for the Interdisciplinary Feeding Clinic at the USC University Center for Excellence in Development Disabilities (USC UCEDD) at Children's Hospital Los Angeles. She completed her doctorate residency at the USC UCEDD implementing measures and gathering outcomes for an interdisciplinary program for parents focused on lifestyle and behavior changes for the management of healthy weight within the pediatric population of clients prescribed atypical anti-psychotic medication.

    Dr. Park is certified in sensory integration and the administration and interpretation of the Sensory Integration and Praxis Tests (SIPT). She also holds an Advanced Practice Certification in Swallowing Assessment, Evaluation, and Intervention, and is a Certified Lactation Educator. Dr. Park contracts with the San Gabriel Pomona Regional Center to provide in-home services for the early intervention population. She also guest lectures within the Pediatric Immersion course related to topics including feeding and swallowing assessment and intervention.
