    Dr. Allgood was born in Southern California and raised in Reno, NV. He earned undergraduate degrees in neuroscience and cinema-television at USC in 2009 and graduated from the Keck School of Medicine in 2013. Dr. Allgood completed a surgical internship at Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center in 2014 prior to his radiology residency at Harbor-UCLA. After graduating from residency in 2018, Dr. Allgood joined the USC Radiology faculty completing a fellowship in abdominal imaging and cross sectional intervention at UCLA in 2019.

    Dr. Allgood’s clinical interests in diagnostic radiology include oncologic and non-oncologic hepatobiliary, pancreatic, gastrointestinal, and genitourinary imaging in all modalities (CT, MRI, radiography, fluoroscopy, ultrasound) as well as cross-sectional (CT- and US-guided) biopsies, aspirations and drainages. Since joining the faculty at USC, Dr. Allgood has expanded his specific research interest in uroradiology, recently joining a project exploring the role of radiomics in prostate cancer imaging. He also recently co-authored a chapter on renal mass imaging for Radiologic Clinics of North America set for publication in Fall 2020.

    Dr. Allgood is active in providing clinical education and lectures for radiology residents and is involved in medical student education, serving as faculty advisor for the Radiology Rounds program during the surgical and internal medicine clerkships. Throughout his career in radiology, Dr. Allgood has produced several educational exhibits that have been accepted for display at national radiology conferences. Dr. Allgood recently accepted an invitation to speak at the Los Angeles Radiological Society Classics Conference; he is a regular participant and contributor to the Los Angeles Body Imaging Society quarterly meetings.

    Board certified in diagnostic radiology by the American Board of Radiology, Dr. Allgood holds active memberships in the American College of Radiology, American Roentgen Ray Society and Radiological Society of North America. He holds an active Physicians and Surgeons License from the Medical Board of California.
