Overview Cheryl Resnik, is an associate professor of clinical physical therapy and associate chair of the Division of Biokinesiology and Physical Therapy at the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry, University of Southern California (USC) in Los Angeles. Resnik received her DPT from USC, a Master of Science in Health Care Management from California State University, Los Angeles, and her BS in physical therapy from the University of Maryland. An active APTA member since 1972, Resnik has served the Association in many leadership positions, including as President of the California Physical Therapy Association, Vice President of the Section on Administration and the Section on Health Policy and Administration and CPTA board of directors for six years. On the state level she has been a member of the Chapter Ethics Committee, a delegate for 12 years, the Government Affairs, Education, and Practice and Quality Service Committees, and served as the CAL PTPAC Board Secretary. She is a recipient of the APTA Lucy Blair Service Award, the HPA Outstanding Service Award and the California Charles Magistro Service Award. In addition to her academic responsibilities at USC, Resnik is Director of Community Outreach and oversees a pro bono clinic dedicated to wellness and prevention for the local community.
