Anush earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Neuroscience at the University of California, Los Angeles, where she discovered her passion for scientific research while working as a laboratory assistant at the department of neurophysiology. After graduating in 2005, Anush joined the California Clinical Trials at Glendale Adventist Hospital working on Sleep, Depression/Anxiety, Schizophrenia, and other ongoing phase II/III studies at the site. After a year, she joined the Hepatology team at Cedars-Sinai Comprehensive Transplant Center as a research associate to further broaden her clinical research experience.

In 2007, Anush decided to go back to school while still working part time. She joined the Masters of Public Health program at the University of California, Los Angeles and graduated with an MPH degree in Biostatistics.

Anush rejoined the Cedars-Sinai Hepatology team full time again as a research associate II to coordinate trials as well as provide statistical consulting to residents and investigators. She worked closely on several investigator-initiated research projects. After a year of serving on the Hepatology team, Anush decided to pursue her passion in neurosciences and joined the USC Department of Neurosurgery in November of 2010.
