      Anne Walsh, MMSc, PA-C, SCT (ASCP), DFAAPA. A proud Trojan PA alumna, Ms. Walsh divides her time between the PA Program, the medical school, and clinical practice. Serving the PA Program since 2003 in a variety of roles including Interim Program Director (2010-11), she delivers the Year 1 Gastroenterology curriculum and the Year 2 Laboratory Methods workshops. As the Medical Student Educator (MSE) for the medical students’ Family Medicine Clerkship since 2003, Ms. Walsh lectures and leads discussions and workshops on several primary care topics, as well as monitors students' progress through their clinical rotation. She has practiced both Family Medicine and Gastroenterology, precepting many PA, MD, DO and pre-PA students, beginning in 2000. In May 2013 she joined Forman Family Medicine in Newport Beach, where she continues her clinical practice.
      Born and raised in Kansas City MO, Ms. Walsh graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia (BA Biological Sciences ‘88), the University of Kansas (BS Cytotechnology ‘89), and Nova Southeastern University (Master of Medical Science ’04). At USC, she was Co-President of her PA class, named “Outstanding PA Student Society” by the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) in 1999. An inaugural California Academy of Physician Assistants (CAPA) Student Ambassador, she was awarded a CAPA Scholarship and was elected to serve three years on the Board of Directors as Director at-Large and appointed Committe Chair and Editor of the CAPA News.
      An ASCP-registered Specialist in Cytotechnology (SCT) since 1989, Ms. Walsh worked as a Cytotechnologist involved in pathology residency teaching for 10 years prior to PA training. She has published 7 primary care textbook chapters, is a peer reviewer for the Journal of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and Annals of Family Medicine, is an abstract reviewer for the annual AAPA Conference, and has presented at several national conferences. An Active Member of the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine (STFM), she serves as the Physician Assistant Education Association (PAEA) liaison, is a case editor for the online collaboration fmCASES, and is the founding chair of the Group on Interprofessional Educators in Family Medicine. She has served on several state/national committees, including the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) Item-writing Committee and the CAPA Conference Planning Committee. Her clinical interests include functional GI disorders and chronic liver disease, and her academic interests include patient safety, medical professionalism, and interprofessional education.
