Dr. Katz holds the title of Professor of Surgery, Department of Surgery, Division of Vascular Surgery and Endovascular Therapy, Keck School of Medicine of USC. He is the Director of the Non-Invasive Vascular Laboratory at Huntington Memorial Hospital and serves as their Program Director of the General Surgery Residency Program. He also completed a vascular surgery fellowship at Baylor University Medical Center, Dallas, Texas, in 1984. Prior to joining the USC faculty full time in 1999, he has been a voluntary attending physician at LAC+USC Medical Center since 1984.
Dr. Katz is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Surgery with added qualifications in Vascular Surgery. He is a Distinguished Fellow of the Society for Vascular Surgery, and a member of the Society for Clinical Vascular Surgery, Peripheral Vascular Surgery Society, Southern California Vascular Society, Western Surgical Association, Western Vascular Society, Pacific Coast Surgical Association, and is a Fellow in the American College of Surgeons. He is a past president of the Southern California Vascular Surgical Society. Dr. Katz has authored over fifty peer reviewed publications and has been recognized as one of the Best Doctors in America from 2009-2012.
