      Elizabeth Beale (Demetriades), MD, is Clinical Director of the Roybal Diabetes Management Program and Assistant Professor in the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism at the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California. Her primary clinical and research interests are on developing effective novel, widely applicable therapies for diabetes and obesity.

      Dr. Beale has a Master's degree in Clinical Investigation and conducts clinical translational research in the mechanism of benefit of bariatric surgery and in glucose control in critical illness. She has written several articles in peer-reviewed publications, including the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism and Diabetes. Dr. Beale is a member of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons (UK) and a member of the American Diabetes Association, Endocrine Society, and Obesity Society.
